On December 26, it was reported that Fujitsu will join the next-generation memory research and development project led by SoftBank. Leveraging technologies from Intel and the University of Tokyo, the project aims to commercialize the technology by fiscal year 2027 and establish a mass production system by fiscal year 2029. In June this year, Intel had already announced a collaboration with SoftBank to jointly develop stacked DRAM solutions as an alternative to high-bandwidth memory.
