On December 25th, it was reported that AI chip startup Groq announced that it had reached a non-exclusive licensing agreement with NVIDIA regarding its inference technology. According to the agreement, core team members such as Groq's founder Jonathan Ross and president Sunny Madra will join NVIDIA to jointly drive the upgrade and large-scale application of the licensed technology. Groq will continue to operate independently, with Simon Edwards serving as the chief executive officer. The GroqCloud service will not be affected by this collaboration and will operate normally. NVIDIA has denied reports regarding the acquisition of Groq.
