As reported by CCTV News, a blaze erupted in a research facility within Samsung Electronics' Hwaseong plant, situated in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, at roughly 10:02 a.m. local time on December 24. The local fire brigade swiftly responded, deploying 30 units of firefighting equipment and 77 personnel to the site. The flames were fully subdued by 10:23 a.m. During the incident, around 120 employees were swiftly and safely evacuated, with no reports of injuries or fatalities. At present, both the South Korean police and fire authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
