On December 24, CEOSCORE, a South Korean corporate data research institution, unveiled its year-end compilation of the top 100 domestic shareholders based on the value of their shareholdings. At the pinnacle of this list stood Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, whose holdings were valued at KRW 23.359 trillion (approximately RMB 110.6 billion). This marked a substantial 94.1% surge from the KRW 12.033 trillion recorded at the close of the previous year. Throughout this timeframe, the aggregate holdings value of the top 100 shareholders witnessed a 64.6% upswing, escalating from KRW 107.6314 trillion to KRW 177.2131 trillion. Trailing behind Lee Jae-yong, Cho Jung-ho, Chairman of the financial services conglomerate Meritz Financial, secured the second spot with holdings valued at KRW 10.7131 trillion.
