According to a research report released by CITIC Construction Investment, with 2025 earmarked as the 'International Year of Quantum Science and Technology', quantum computing is poised to enter the noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) era. Currently, various mainstream technological approaches, including superconducting, ion trap, photonic quantum, and neutral atom technologies, are progressing concurrently, yet a consensus on a unified standard remains elusive. The upstream and midstream segments of the industry chain have emerged as pivotal areas for growth, encompassing vital components such as quantum chips and measurement & control systems. It is anticipated that by 2035, the global quantum computing market will surpass US$800 billion in value. While downstream applications are still in their nascent stages, they exhibit immense potential across sectors such as finance, pharmaceuticals, and energy, signaling promising avenues for commercialization.
