As reported by TheElec, Samsung's Exynos 2600 chip does not come with an integrated 5G modem. This design choice might be a result of limitations imposed by the chip's size. While this alteration could potentially lead to a slight decrease in power efficiency, it also offers benefits such as streamlining the manufacturing process and mitigating associated risks. Samsung has highlighted that the chip, crafted using a cutting-edge 2nm manufacturing process, is expected to achieve up to an 8% improvement in power efficiency. Additionally, it will be paired with a separate modem that supports advanced satellite communication capabilities.
