Due to the swift surge in memory chip prices, Apple is increasing the share of Samsung's memory chips that it procures for use in iPhones. It is anticipated that Samsung will supply roughly 60% to 70% of the low-power dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) for the iPhone 17. In the case of previous iPhone generations, the supply shares of Samsung and SK Hynix were fairly evenly matched, with Micron also contributing as a minor supplier.
