Samsung Electronics has declared that, in light of the rapidly escalating demand for DRAM, which is being propelled by the worldwide surge in AI infrastructure investment, it will repurpose some of its NAND flash memory production lines located in Pyeongtaek and Hwaseong, transforming them into DRAM production facilities. Simultaneously, the company intends to develop its ongoing Pyeongtaek Factory 4 (P4) construction project into a specialized DRAM production line. This line will leverage the cutting-edge 1c process technology to optimize profitability.
