At the "2025 Integrated Circuit Development Forum (Chengdu-Chongqing Region) & the 31st Integrated Circuit Design Industry Exhibition," Professor Wei Shaojun, who serves as the Chairman of the Integrated Circuit Design Branch of the China Semiconductor Industry Association, presented a pivotal keynote report. According to the report, China's chip design industry is projected to generate sales of RMB 835.73 billion in 2025, representing a robust 29.4% year-on-year surge and signaling a return to a high-speed growth trajectory. The industry is also expected to see an uptick in its global market share.

Emerging sectors, particularly artificial intelligence, are acting as catalysts for performance enhancement among certain companies. Cities such as Wuhan are at the forefront, showcasing rapid business development. Forecasts suggest that 831 companies will surpass RMB 100 million in sales, while the industry's per capita labor productivity is set to embark on an upward trend once again.

Furthermore, the report emphasized the necessity of refining the semiconductor investment framework and mechanisms, advocating for the establishment of multi-tiered investment funds. It also underscored the importance of intensifying on-the-job training initiatives for high-caliber talents within enterprises.
