On November 17, 2025, U.S.-based Adeia and its affiliated companies (Adeia Semiconductor Bonding Technologies, Inc., Adeia Holdings Inc.) filed an investigation application with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) under Section 337 of the U.S. Tariff Act of 1930, alleging that specific semiconductor devices and their downstream computing products and components exported to, imported into, and sold in the United States violate Section 337. The named defendants include Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), Lenovo (U.S.), Lenovo Group (Hong Kong, China), Lenovo Information Products (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
