On October 14, 2025, Samsung Electronics unveiled its earnings forecast, predicting an operating profit of KRW 12.1 trillion (roughly RMB 60.597 billion) for the third quarter. This figure represents a significant 31.8% year-on-year increase and reaches a three-year peak. Revenue is anticipated to climb to KRW 86 trillion (around RMB 430.688 billion), reflecting an 8.7% year-on-year rise, with both metrics exceeding market projections. The surge is largely attributed to the revival of its premier semiconductor division, notably driven by robust demand for memory chips. Moreover, Samsung is teaming up with OpenAI to propel the AI computing infrastructure known as the 'Stargate Project' and is also partnering with SK Hynix to provide high-performance memory chips. The company further intends to construct an AI data center in South Korea, solidifying and broadening its presence in the high-tech arena. Analysts are of the opinion that Samsung is on track to reclaim its leading status in the global memory market, yet it must persist in innovating to tackle competitive hurdles.
