Chen Fu-Yang, CEO of U.S. chip giant Broadcom, said in an interview on Monday that as artificial intelligence (AI) technology becomes widespread across industries, it may account for a larger proportion of global GDP. He mentioned that the current global GDP is approximately $110 trillion, with 30% originating from knowledge and technology-intensive industries. Chen Fu-Yang said, 'Investing in generative AI will foster intelligence in many areas of society, and this proportion will increase to 40% of GDP, representing an annual growth of $10 trillion.'
