It has been officially confirmed that AMD's Zen6 Ryzen processors will continue to utilize the AM5 motherboard platform. These processors will be compatible with existing 600 and 800 series motherboards, thereby obviating the need for users to purchase new motherboards. Major motherboard manufacturers, including MSI, have formally declared that the 800 series motherboards will be primed and ready to accommodate future CPUs. Zen6 is anticipated to make its debut between late 2026 and early 2027. Notably, the AM5 interface is projected to support a minimum of three generations of Ryzen CPUs.
