Facing the burnout problems encountered by AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors on select ASRock motherboards, ASRock has stepped up to the plate. They've tackled the issue head-on with BIOS updates and rolled out an extended warranty initiative in Japan, with the potential to bring this benefit to other areas down the line. ASRock Japan has just revealed that customers who sign up for the ASRock Fan Club by the close of this year will see their warranty terms for Intel Z890, B860, or AMD X870, B850 motherboards jump from two years to a generous three years. AMD has mentioned that it's teaming up with motherboard makers to fine-tune the BIOS, yet the problem hasn't been completely ironed out, as evidenced by ongoing discussions on Reddit. While BIOS updates can't fix hardware that's already been damaged, staying on top of these updates could potentially lower the chances of running into the same issue again.
