On October 2, Raspberry Pi formally rolled out a fresh iteration of its operating system, built upon Debian 13 “Trixie”. This update is packed with numerous innovations, the most eye-catching of which is the debut of a unified “Control Center” app. This single application amalgamates several preference-setting apps that were previously dispersed, covering areas such as Raspberry Pi configuration, appearance customization, mouse and keyboard settings, screen adjustments, and printer configurations. With the mouse wheel, users can effortlessly navigate between different pages.

Furthermore, the new system introduces an entirely revamped desktop theme. It comes with bespoke icons, the Nunito Sans Light font, and a wallpaper that showcases a breathtaking sunrise over the Drakensberg Mountains. The system also refines the modular design of the desktop image, simplifying the process for users to incorporate a desktop environment into the Lite version of the system.
