Solid State Drives (SSDs) are gradually replacing Mechanical Hard Drives (HDDs), which have been popular for decades. SSDs offer faster speeds and resolve system slowdowns and performance degradation issues caused by HDDs. Currently, SSD prices have become reasonable, with 1TB models priced similarly to mechanical hard drives. However, the era of inexpensive SSDs may soon come to an end. TrendForce predicts that in the fourth quarter of 2025, the price of NAND flash memory used in SSDs and other devices will increase by 5% to 10%.
