Industry data clearly indicates that the chip market is still on a roll. On Friday, SEMI, the global trade organization for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, released data revealing that in the second quarter of 2025, global chip equipment sales witnessed a remarkable year-on-year surge of 24%, hitting $33.07 billion. Moreover, there was a 3% increase compared to the previous quarter. This impressive growth was predominantly propelled by the soaring demand for AI-related high-bandwidth memory and a spike in shipments across Asia.
