Recently, a shipping manifest unveiled by X86 Dead & Back has divulged that Intel's upcoming next - generation laptop platform, Panther Lake, will come fitted with 64GB of LPDDR5X memory. At present, Intel's Arrow Lake series (Core Ultra 200H/HX) also offers support for a maximum memory configuration of 64GB. In contrast, the Lunar Lake series, owing to its on - package memory design, is limited to a maximum memory configuration of 32GB.
It has been reported that Panther Lake is set to take over from the Arrow Lake - H and Lunar Lake series. Moreover, Intel is ramping up the local AI capabilities for Panther Lake systems. This enhancement in AI capabilities could potentially be one of the driving factors behind the increased memory configuration. However, it's important to note that this information is sourced from a shipping manifest for test motherboards. As a result, the 64GB LPDDR5X memory configuration might not be readily available in the initial products slated for launch in early 2026.
