AMD has recently announced an important change to its Ryzen cooler offerings. Due to the end-of-life (EOL) phase for the SR2a and SR4 coolers, effective August 1, 2025, select models from the Ryzen 8000G, 7000, and 5000 series will transition to using the SR1 cooler instead of the original SR4. Furthermore, certain boxed Ryzen 7000 and 5000 series processors will no longer include the SR4 cooler as part of the package. This adjustment impacts product packaging and accessory configurations, prompting users to be mindful of specific model changes when making purchase decisions.
