On July 28, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization unveiled the "Several Measures to Further Promote the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Shanghai." These measures encompass a range of initiatives aimed at reducing the cost of intelligent computing power, including the issuance of ¥600 million in computing power vouchers, and reinforcing the development of computing power scheduling platforms to bolster enterprises in their endeavors to develop and deploy large-scale AI models. For enterprises renting intelligent computing power, the municipal government will offer a rental subsidy of up to 30% and recommend them for national intelligent voucher subsidies. The maximum subsidy period is set at one year, with the potential for a full 100% rental subsidy through collaboration between the municipal and district governments. Furthermore, projects that independently deploy intelligent computing power facilities will be eligible for up to 10% construction support, with the objective of accelerating the cultivation of an autonomous artificial intelligence ecosystem.
