On June 18, Yang Jie, Chairman of China Mobile, delivered a keynote address at MWC25 Shanghai, highlighting the dawn of the AI+ era. He emphasized that in domains encompassing image recognition, mathematical Olympiad competitions, and reading comprehension, AI has achieved or even surpassed human capabilities. Against this backdrop, silicon-based life forms, including AI smart terminals, intelligent connected vehicles, and intelligent robots, are continuously emerging, with projections suggesting their numbers may soon outstrip those of humans. Addressing the evolution of the information and communications industry, Yang Jie underscored the need to chart a new course for carbon-silicon integration. This integration aims to propel the intelligent development of silicon-based life forms, enabling AI to tackle increasingly complex tasks. Concurrently, he emphasized the urgency of accelerating the construction of the next-generation communication network to foster deep integration between silicon-based and carbon-based life forms. Furthermore, Yang Jie advocated for collaborative innovation between these two life forms, envisioning a future where they reshape lifestyles, production models, governance structures, and scientific research paradigms.
