Microsoft has recently extended an invitation to Windows Insider program members to experience the latest iteration of the Copilot app, introducing a novel "Hey Copilot" voice wake-up feature. When activated, this functionality allows users to summon the AI assistant through voice commands while the PC is in an unlocked state, albeit currently limited to English. It's crucial to highlight that the "Hey Copilot" feature is initially disabled and must be manually enabled within the Copilot settings. Microsoft underscores that the recognition of the wake-up command is conducted solely on the device itself, ensuring no audio data is recorded or stored. Audio transmission to the cloud for processing user queries commences only after the wake-up word has been detected.
