Microsoft has embarked on testing the Copilot Voice feature, enabling Windows 11 users to seamlessly converse with applications by uttering the voice command 'Hey Copilot!'. Windows Insider members who have updated their systems can now opt-in and activate this innovative feature for an immersive, hands-free experience. Leveraging an on-device wake word recognizer equipped with a 10-second audio buffer, this feature eliminates the necessity to transmit audio data to the cloud or store it locally. Nevertheless, an active internet connection is required to access cloud-based processing capabilities.
