The Large Model Team at Xiaomi has recently introduced a revolutionary image generation method known as DAR (Directional-Aware Diagonal Serpentine Autoregressive). This technique deviates from the conventional row-by-row approach, instead flexibly generating each pixel in a diagonal serpentine pattern. This method not only feels more natural but also aligns more closely with human intuition in the artistic process. During the benchmark test on 256×256 ImageNet, DAR achieved an impressive FID score of 1.37, establishing a new benchmark among similar technologies.
