According to SK Hynix's analysis, artificial intelligence (AI) has substantially boosted productivity and ignited fresh revenue streams in domains like software development, customer service, and search functions, thereby fueling a consistent uptick in AI adoption. This surge in AI utilization has subsequently spurred greater investments in infrastructure, establishing a positive feedback loop. Concurrently, the primary investors in AI have broadened their scope, extending beyond a handful of corporations to encompass regular businesses and even national entities. It is projected that the worldwide market for AI data center infrastructure will sustain its steady expansion. Focusing on the memory market, SK Hynix anticipates that, in the near term, AI applications at both enterprise and consumer levels will spearhead demand. Over the medium to long term, however, the market's growth will be propelled by embodied AI technologies, such as autonomous vehicles and robotics, ensuring sustained market expansion. Nevertheless, the supply side has struggled to match the pace of this market growth. Owing to the escalating complexity of advanced process technologies and the protracted timeline for constructing new manufacturing facilities, SK Hynix expects the memory market to grapple with a supply deficit until at least 2030.
