On October 26, AI firm Anthropic formally submitted its S-1 registration statement to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, signaling its intent to go public on the Nasdaq Global Select Market, trading under the ticker “ANT.” This move follows a confidential filing made by the company in June. Financial figures reveal that Anthropic generated revenue of $16.286 billion in the first half of 2026, while incurring a net loss of $80.748 billion. However, after adjustments, it reported an operating profit of $1.6 billion. The company has witnessed a substantial expansion in its customer base, boasting over 6,000 clients that each contribute annual revenues of $100,000 or more. Anthropic has clarified that the proceeds from the IPO will be earmarked primarily for advancing state-of-the-art large model research and development, enhancing computing infrastructure, and bolstering AI safety initiatives.
