Meta is set to raise up to $95 billion in capital through a strategic issuance of equity. This includes approximately $35 billion in common and preferred shares, complemented by an At-The-Market (ATM) program that allows for the sale of up to $60 billion in non-voting Class C shares. The primary objective of this funding drive is to fuel Meta's ambitious advancements in the realm of artificial intelligence. Recently, Meta has undergone a significant restructuring of its AI division, accompanied by substantial investments in the construction of AI infrastructure. The company has successfully launched the personal AI agent, Muse, as well as the advanced AI model, Muse Wonder. Meta asserts that Muse Wonder's capabilities, particularly in tasks like programming, are on par with those of leading AI models such as ChatGPT and Claude. On the day of the announcement, Meta's stock price experienced a slight dip during pre-market trading. However, it quickly rebounded, climbing 1.2% to reach $650 per share. Despite this positive movement, it's worth noting that as of the close of trading last Friday, Meta's stock had declined by 2.7% since the beginning of the year.
