On October 19, the Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with nine other departments, issued opinions aimed at accelerating the enhancement of commerce through scientific and technological means. The initiative emphasizes the need to better align supply with demand in the realm of commodity consumption. To achieve this, specific strategies have been outlined, including the development of flexible manufacturing. Enterprises are encouraged to harness cutting-edge technologies, such as industrial large-scale models and edge intelligence, to construct adaptive flexible production systems. Furthermore, the promotion of innovative models like on-demand production and consumer-to-manufacturer (C2M) manufacturing is also advocated. Concurrently, significant strides will be taken to foster AI-driven personalized customization, nurturing a host of customized brands that wield industry influence, thereby catering to the diverse and personalized consumption needs of the market.
