As indicated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China is set to concentrate on the manufacturing sector as its primary arena, with application-driven strategies serving as the cornerstone for propelling the high-level empowerment of new-type industrialization through the AI industry. Presently, the Ministry has orchestrated close to 30 'Deep Dive' initiatives aimed at fostering AI-driven new-type industrialization, successfully facilitating supply-demand alignment for over 5,000 enterprises. Concurrently, it is backing the creation of 18 national pilot zones dedicated to AI innovation and application, such as those in Beijing and the Jinan-Qingdao region. Furthermore, the Ministry is championing the formulation of nearly 200 pivotal technical standards for AI within the industry and has established a national AI industry investment fund amounting to 60 billion yuan.
