According to Bloomberg, Apple plans to introduce the Apple Intelligence feature in mainland China for the first time in December this year through the iOS 27.3 update, nearly two years after its initial release. The first batch of features includes Genmoji custom emojis, notification summaries, writing tools, and the Clean Up feature in the Photos app. However, upgraded Siri AI, the image generation tool Image Playground, and the new version of Genmoji will not be launched simultaneously, and the text generation tool may also be restricted. The mainland China version will integrate Alibaba's AI models, including Tongyi Qianwen and Tongyi Wanxiang. Apple obtained regulatory approval in China on September 29, allowing recent iPhones to support the use of Apple Intelligence and the aforementioned models.
