Google is testing a new feature of Gemini called 'Gemini Calling', which allows AI not only to make calls to businesses on behalf of users, but also potentially extend to contacting friends and family in their address books. Users simply need to tell Gemini what they want to convey, and the AI can directly make the call to deliver the message. Currently, this feature is still under development, but relevant onboarding pages have been discovered by dissecting the latest version of the Gemini app package, with example instructions including making calls to friends and family to deliver brief messages. Previously, Google has launched the 'Call For Me' feature for Pixel 11 series users in the United States, allowing Gemini to handle business calls on behalf of users, such as making reservations, checking inventory, etc. Users can view the call content in real-time and take over at any time.
