On October 6, Samsung Electro-Mechanics revealed that it had entered into a long-term supply agreement, valued at roughly 290 billion won (approximately US$210 million), with a leading global corporation. The deal involves the provision of multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) specifically designed for AI servers. The contract will be in effect for one year, running from January 1 to December 31, 2027. This achievement represents Samsung Electro-Mechanics' sixth long-term supply contract secured this year. Goldman Sachs forecasts that the market for AI server MLCCs will expand from US$1.4 billion in 2025 to US$5.8 billion by 2030, boasting an average annual growth rate of approximately 34%. Samsung Electro-Mechanics currently commands a market share exceeding 40% in this sector. Since May of this year, the company has successively signed long-term supply contracts amounting to around 3.9 trillion won, encompassing products such as silicon capacitors, AI server MLCCs, and inductors.
