On September 25th, news emerged that the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo commenced in Hangzhou on September 24th. During the expo, Wang Xingxing, the visionary founder of Unitree Robotics, delivered a compelling keynote speech. He posited that the embodied AI sector is poised for groundbreaking advancements akin to those witnessed with ChatGPT. Wang envisions a future where robots, leveraging voice interaction and embodied intelligence, can proficiently complete roughly 80% of tasks in about 80% of unfamiliar settings, marking a pivotal juncture for widespread industry adoption.

He recounted that the previous year marked a significant milestone, with robots achieving a leap forward in comprehending and executing tasks via voice commands. Nevertheless, the industry continues to grapple with fundamental technological hurdles, primarily the seamless integration of AI models with the tangible physical world. Wang highlighted that, in practical operations, robots still encounter minute errors, often in the range of a few millimeters. These minuscule discrepancies, though seemingly insignificant, impose limitations on the robots' stability and dependability in intricate environments.

He underscored the importance of this challenge, asserting that whoever can surmount it will, in essence, unlock the core issues plaguing the robotics field, paving the way for unprecedented progress and innovation.
