In the second quarter of the same year, the cable sector witnessed a remarkable 205% year-on-year surge in net profit attributable to the parent company, signaling a continued upswing in the optical fiber and cable industry. Public funds' holding market value proportion within the communications industry hit an all-time high of 11.56% in that quarter, with a concentration of holdings in areas including optical modules, optical devices, optical chips, and optical fiber and cable.
The second-quarter reports from the four major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) in North America revealed sustained capital investment growth, with a total capital expenditure of approximately USD 171.2 billion in the second quarter of 2026, marking a 78.6% year-on-year increase. It is anticipated that the total capital expenditure for the entire year will approximate USD 732.5 billion (median estimate), with expectations of continued rapid growth in 2027.
