Google is gradually rolling out a new 'minimize' shortcut button for the Google Gemini interface on Android systems. This button can collapse the Gemini interaction overlay into a floating bubble featuring the Spark logo, breaking through the limitations of full-screen occupation by mobile AI assistants and enhancing multitasking efficiency. The button is located above or to the side of the reply box. The collapsed floating bubble can be fixed in six preset positions along the screen edge, supporting drag-and-drop repositioning and swipe-to-close. Android 17 devices can also achieve a richer multi-window parallel experience through various operations. Google is addressing issues such as bubble position reset encountered in early testing through progressive streaming. This upgrade transforms Gemini into a dynamic background tool, improving the multitasking flow capability of generative AI on mobile devices and providing a reference for the industry to explore lightweight, seamless generative AI human-computer interaction paradigms.
