LMBTEC released a letter to all employees on its fourth anniversary, reviewing its development journey and announcing its strategy for the next phase. The letter disclosed that the global downloads of the MiniCPM series of open-source models have exceeded 50 million, covering full modalities including text, vision, and voice. The edge-side models have been applied in terminal scenarios such as smart vehicles, consumer mobile phones, as well as industries, legal, and satellite sectors. LMBTEC reiterated its core technical approach of the 'Density Law,' eschewing mere parameter expansion and aiming to achieve efficient edge-side intelligence with human-brain-level low power consumption. It proposed that general intelligence will be divided into three categories: super, cloud-side, and edge-side, with edge-side intelligence becoming the main battleground in the era of general intelligence.
