On August 26th, it was reported that the 'Work Plan for Strengthening the Cross-Regional Quality Chain of Brain-Computer Interfaces in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region' has been issued. The plan emphasizes strengthening collaborative efforts in quality-related common technologies, supporting chain-leading enterprises, universities, research institutes, and medical institutions to jointly undertake quality technology research activities, identifying common quality pain points, and advancing the construction of landmark projects to strengthen the quality chain of brain-computer interfaces. The plan will focus on key aspects of brain-computer interfaces, such as neural signal acquisition, decoding, control, and feedback, with an emphasis on EEG signal perception and acquisition, human-computer interaction technologies, and application scenarios. It aims to drive breakthroughs and commercialization of quality-related common technologies, including new dry electrodes, flexible electrodes, signal acquisition and computational decoding chips, integrated whole-system acquisition systems, and high-performance real-time decoding algorithms.
