On August 22, the Second World Humanoid Robot Games commenced at the National Speed Skating Oval. This edition of the Games has been expanded to span five days, encompassing nine competition sessions. It features a total of 51 events and 1,301 matches, with the number of events doubling compared to the inaugural edition. The event is divided into three main segments: sports competitions, artistic performances, and practical real-world applications. This includes 30 competitive events and 21 real-world challenges. According to statistics, 666 teams from 16 countries across six continents participated, bringing along 2,056 robots. This marks a 138% year-on-year increase in the number of participating teams and a quadrupling of the number of robots compared to the previous edition.
