Sources with intimate knowledge of the situation revealed that the "Intelligent Systems Experience" team, which falls under Apple's software engineering department and is tasked with overseeing on-device AI functionalities, has also been affected by these layoffs. As part of this organizational reshuffle, Apple has effectively dissolved the Vision Pro gaming business team and reduced the size of the department responsible for producing immersive video content. The layoffs have impacted more than 200 employees, with roughly 100 positions being eliminated from the Vision Pro department and an equal number from the Siri and software teams.
