On August 10, Cailian Press reported that according to a recent report by Goldman Sachs analysts, global investment in artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to surpass the $1 trillion mark by the end of 2026, with the United States expected to contribute nearly $600 billion. Leveraging their assessments of investment preferences in AI, the Goldman Sachs Research Department has forecasted the share of AI investment in U.S. GDP through to 2028. Their projections indicate that the proportion of U.S. AI capital expenditure in GDP will climb from 1.8% in 2026 to 2.5% in 2027, and further escalate to 2.8% by 2028. Simultaneously, the global AI investment's share in global GDP is anticipated to experience a year-on-year increase from 2026 to 2028, reaching 0.9%, 1.3%, and 1.4%, respectively.
