In the first half of this year, the Xianyu platform witnessed an explosive growth in AI service transactions. The number of orders skyrocketed to 9.816 million, marking a remarkable 157% increase compared to the same period last year. The buyer base also expanded significantly, nearing 5 million, with a 98% year-on-year surge. Particularly noteworthy is the substantial growth in orders for AI programming and website development, AI-driven comic dramas, AI-generated PowerPoint presentations, and office-related services. The sellers are predominantly young individuals aged between 18 and 35, with women making up 62.4% of this group. Most of them engage in these activities with a side-hustle mentality, achieving an average monthly transaction volume of 897 yuan. Geographically, sellers from fourth-tier and second-tier cities collectively represent over 60% of the total.
