On July 27, 2026, Moonshot AI made an official announcement regarding the open-sourcing of the Kimi K3 model weights. Concurrently, it published a technical report and unveiled three pivotal infrastructure technologies: MoonEP, FlashKDA, and AgentEnv. The Kimi K3 model employs a Mixture of Experts (MoE) architecture, boasting a total parameter scale of 2.8 trillion, with 104 billion active parameters in operation. It is capable of native visual comprehension and supports a context window of up to 1 million Tokens. Overall, its scaling efficiency is approximately 2.5 times higher than that of its predecessor.
