Since entering its testing phase a year ago, the app has undergone frequent updates, including compatibility enhancements for the iPhone 17e and various iPad models, which were rolled out in April. Now, Adobe has announced the launch of Project Indigo version 1.1, featuring an extensive array of generative AI-driven photo editing capabilities. Users can effortlessly remove unwanted objects with a single tap, mimic shallow depth-of-field effects, apply professional or artistic filters, fine-tune lighting conditions, and much more. Additionally, the AI Playground module can intelligently analyze images, offer tailored recommendations for shooting or editing techniques, and even respond to user-defined creative prompts. At present, this cutting-edge functionality is being offered as a free trial to a select group of users, ensuring all data remains anonymous and that no user-uploaded photos or prompts are stored. Future decisions regarding whether to adopt a paid subscription model will hinge on user feedback and engagement.
