The world's largest supplier of cybersecurity software is comprehensively restructuring its security business, capitalizing on corporate concerns about AI hacking to seize market share. In February of this year, Hayet Garott, who took over Microsoft's security operations, has reallocated more team resources to focus on developing AI security products. To drive the company's security system and AI transformation, Garott replaced at least eight executives who previously reported to former security chief Charlie Bell, while also laying off hundreds of employees in Microsoft's security division.
