Tencent QQ Mail has recently launched Agently Mail, a dedicated email service tailored for AI agents, and has officially kicked off its beta testing phase. This innovative service operates separately from personal email accounts, offering AI agents a secure and isolated digital communication environment. It assigns dedicated email addresses to AI agents, ensuring they can only access emails within their designated accounts. To ensure security, users are required to undergo real-name verification and utilize a two-step confirmation mechanism, effectively safeguarding against Prompt injection attacks.
Agently Mail bestows upon AI agents an independent digital identity, enabling them to autonomously register on third-party platforms, receive verification codes, and facilitate A2A (AI-to-AI) automatic communication between enterprises. All communication records are fully traceable, enhancing transparency and accountability. Currently, the service has been adapted for compatibility with several mainstream AI agents, both domestically and internationally, with ongoing plans to expand the range of supported platforms.
The code repository for Agently Mail has been made open-source on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license, encouraging collaboration and innovation within the developer community. To get started, users can simply send a designated command in the conversation window of a compatible AI agent. The agent will then install the Agently Mail CLI tool and complete the registration process by scanning a WeChat QR code for authorization.
Once integrated, users can issue email-related instructions to the AI agent in natural language, effortlessly setting up automated email workflows. This service has been meticulously designed to cater to various standardized office scenarios, streamlining communication and enhancing productivity.
