On June 22, Ant Group successfully finalized the renewal process for its board of directors. The newly appointed independent directors include Bai Chongen, who serves as the Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University; He Xiaopeng, the Chairman and CEO of XPeng Motors; and Zeng Shunfu, the former CEO of Deloitte China. Meanwhile, Laura Cha, the ex-Chairman of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, and Zhang Hongjiang, a globally recognized AI scholar, will retain their positions on the board. Following the renewal, Ant Group's board of directors will continue to consist of nine members, with independent directors making up more than half, thereby continuously refining and enhancing its governance structure.
