On June 10, Reuters reported that Musk's xAI and SpaceX are facing a collective lawsuit from Mississippi residents. The plaintiffs claim that the power plants supplying electricity to nearby data centers are continuously generating noise, causing health damage and property devaluation. The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday in the federal court in Oxford, Mississippi, with three residents representing over ten thousand people. The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for damages such as mental anguish and property devaluation, as well as demanding the return of an unspecified amount of unjust profits. xAI and SpaceX have not yet responded to requests for comment.
