Recently, the Nantong Municipal Development and Reform Commission has rolled out the Three-Year Action Plan aimed at expediting the seamless integration of 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) + Energy' within Nantong City. Accompanying this strategic move is the unveiling of a curated list of 31 exemplary application scenarios, spanning pivotal domains such as smart grids, the operation and maintenance of new energy sources, burgeoning energy sectors, intelligent thermal power generation, and the safety management of oil and gas operations.
The plan envisions that by 2028, Nantong will witness the profound application of around two professional large-scale models tailored for vertical domains within the energy sector. It aims to foster over 10 replicable and practical cases, thereby establishing an AI-propelled innovation and development paradigm that is uniquely characteristic of Nantong for the energy sector.
Furthermore, the plan delineates key tasks encompassing the deepened integration of AI with power grids, facilitating the intelligent operation of new energy sources, nurturing emerging energy sectors, enhancing the efficiency and efficacy of intelligent thermal power operations, and fortifying smart safety management protocols for oil and gas. Additionally, it introduces five robust safeguard measures to ensure the successful implementation of the plan.
