In April, China's large-scale AI models entered a phase of rapid iteration, marked by notable enhancements in inference computing efficiency. Models such as DeepSeek and Zhipu GLM, in particular, have made significant strides in reducing computing power consumption. Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission announced at a monthly press briefing that it is expediting the development of supportive policies for the implementation of "AI Plus," encouraging central and state-owned enterprises to unlock high-value application scenarios. The objective is to establish benchmark AI applications across diverse industries, fields, and regions, fostering the seamless integration of AI into production, operations, management, and other processes. Pan Helin, a member of the Expert Committee on Information and Communication Economics at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, highlighted that the primary challenge in implementing "AI Plus" lies in computing power, thereby creating opportunities for growth in computing centers, optical communication, and cloud computing sectors.
