Based on a report from Reuters, Meta, in an internal memo issued on Tuesday, declared that it would be scaling down its strategy of gathering data on employees' mouse movements, keyboard inputs, and various other actions to train AI. This decision comes in the wake of significant pushback from the workforce. The revised approach now permits employees to halt data collection for intervals of up to 30 minutes each time and to request exemptions from the program. Additionally, Meta is enhancing its tools to mitigate the impact on computer battery longevity.
